Not only is Aaron standing up by himself, he started walking this week! He is such a cutie and so proud of himself when he walks. Of course he should be. We are so proud of him too!
Friends of ours, Vincent and Daniella, posted a video of their little one walking. I had to re-post the video. He is so cute and I love the big smile at the end for dad!

My mother in law was kind enough to have Aaron overnight on Saturday night while Gina and I went to see a movie with friends and catch up on some sleep (we had about 8 hours, I felt like a different person when I woke).
I was listening to an episode of Jumping Monkeys where Leo and Megan were talking about photos of kids being publicly visible and then being misused by commercial providers and even private individuals who seem to use other people's kids' photos for their own profile photos on sites. It got me thinking about how almost all my photos are public on Flickr and whether that is a good idea now that we have a baby and I am publishing all the photos of him for friends and family.
I have decided to make almost all those photos (and photos of children that I upload, generally) visible only to family and friends for the time being. I'll publish a limited number of photos publicly but if you want to see the full collection, you'll need to contact me for access. I am generally not in favour of restricting access to my content but Sprout's arrival has prompted me to think about my policies a bit more.
So anyway, if you are a friend or family member and you would like to see my photos then get in touch with me or send me an email and I'll give you access to the good stuff.

The day has finally arrived and I can blurt the news to everyone! We went for our 12 week scan today and we can officially announce that we are pregnant. We have set up a blog called The Diary of Sprout where we will chronicle te life of our little Sprout and the many issues and challenges we encounter as new parents. And with that, here is Sprout:
We just had tea with Craig and Taryn. They brought Leah with them and she is gorgeous. She has grown so big since we saw her last.
