Not only is Aaron standing up by himself, he started walking this week! He is such a cutie and so proud of himself when he walks. Of course he should be. We are so proud of him too!
We are in the middle of a huge storm. We're pretty sure lightening hit our driveway. The puppies are struggling a with all the thunder. Salami is the most hysterical of the lot.
Bandit is just sitting tight on the couch.
I worked from home yesterday and although the day started off with clear blue skies, it ended with an awesome storm. I shot this video with my camera of the storm just outside our front door:
After a wait of over 2 months, our new lounge suite has arrived!
We have had quite an eventful couple weeks. We have bought a fair amount of stuff for our new home including a dishwasher and a tumble dryer. This last weekend we went off to Designer Lounge in Bramley and ordered a really nice lounge suite. We were told we should buy a leather lounge suite but it is far more expensive than a material lounge suite so we opted for a Coricraft-style lounge suite that has removable covers. It is really comfy. We ordered 3, 2 and a single seaters and an ottoman. While we were there, we also saw this fantastic coffee table which they were using as a prop on the shop floor and bought that too. It makes quite a difference to our lounge, as you can see:
We probably mentioned to a few of you that we were also looking at renovating our outside maid’s room and garage and converting the whole space into an office/cottage. We were chatting about it and decided not to do it and to rather keep the maid’s room for when little Jacobsons start arriving!
We are going to start doing some work in the garden soon. We are replacing the gravel in the pathway with railway sleepers and we’re installing a sprinkler system together with a trim around the flower beds. We’ll plant more flowers and things in a couple months time.
